Back with some recipe ideas

Back Home!

After living in Australia and New Zealand for a couple of month, me and my bf went for a stunning three week holiday to Thailand. Afterwards we went to England, to meet his family and now we are living in Germany. He still doesn't speak much German, well... he can introduce himself and ask for a beer lol. Anyway, as our travels are over, I had to start to push my career a little. ATM I'm orientating towards PR and journalism. For that reason I"m currently working as a freelance writer for a local newspaper, what is really great experience.

So since we are back in Germany, I kind of started getting into cooking and backing. I somehow became really passionate about fresh ingredients and i literally cook every day. Therefore - as I don't see much of the world at the moment - I'm gonna start showing you guys what meals I prepare. My cooking involves a lot of freestyle, I never use a certain amount of grams of something, I'm just adding ingredients approximately. That makes cooking a lot more fun, you should give it a go. Anyways, in the following posts I will show you what is my idea of a healthy, but more importantly, yummy diet. Looking forward to any feedback or suggestions.

Also: I decided to write my blog only in English for now, cause it just takes so much time to type everything in two languages and i reckon most of you know English anyway and if not there is always that terrible option of translation with google! Obviously, as English isn't my mother tongue, there might be some typos or even grammar mistake so please be lenient.

So here we go, let's start with something super easy to make:

Quick and easy: Spicy chicken strips with bruschetta

You need: chicken breast, white onion, tomato, parmesan, bruschetta, pine nuts

Finely slice the tomato and place it onto your halved bruschetta. Season with salt and pepper (I generally use sea salt or Himalaya salt and black ground pepper, it just brings out the flavors nicer). Grate some fresh parmesan with a cheese grater over your bruschetta. (Don't buy pre-grated parmesan - these are all the bad quality leftovers from the factories which are just minced together) Put in the oven for about ten minutes at 100 degrees Celsius.

Slice your chicken breast into four even strips. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, mexican chili powder and a little olive oil. Put a pan on a medium to high heat and add some olive oil. When your pan is hot, put the chicken strips in and fry them until golden brown on the outside. While your chicken is frying, finely slice your onion and add it together with your pine nuts to the same pan. That will give your strips some extra flavor. When your buschetta is ready, place the glazed onion on top of the tomato and add the pine nuts. Serve your chicken with some fresh basil. Enjoy!
